What is an Alfajor?

An Alfajor is two (or three) cookies with a sweet filling, coated in chocolate, merengue, glaze or even rolled in coconut flakes. Each biscuit flavour is an entirely different recipe and our fillings are traditionally made jams that require a long cooking process. Each individual Alfajor is thoughtfully handcrafted, and carefully inspected before being packaged and shipped out to you.

What is your pick up address? Can I pop in to your store?

Pick up location is Officer, Victoria 3809. We do not give out our pick up address, until payment has been made, as we are not a store/factory. We use our council registered kitchen in our family home to create your delicious treats.

When will my order arrive?

All orders are shipped to arrive within 2 days of the requested ship date. During the ordering process, you can request a future ship date, or the calendar will automatically default to choosing the next available ship date. In order to ensure the freshest possible product, we do not ship products after Wednesdays so we can avoid our cookies sitting over the weekend.

How long can you store Alfajores for?

Alfajores can be stored for upto 2 weeks in an airtight sealed container, at room temperature in a cool dark place.  NOTE: Chocolin & Walnut Alfajores DO NOT need to be stored in the fridge; UNLESS it’s more than 20° Celsius. So if it’s a warm day – we recommend storing Chocolin & Walnut alfajores in the fridge until room temperature cools down.

How long can you store Cachitos and Merenguito Alfajores for?

Cachitos, Merenguito + NAKED Merenguito Alfajores are intended to eat fresh, as they are supposed to be crunchy when you bite into them. We recommend storing these products in an airtight container, no longer than 5 days. You CAN eat them after 5 days, they just won’t be as crunchy – they’ll still be delicious.

Can I order an Alfajor Cake bigger than 20cm diameter? 

At the moment we are only offering 20cm Alfajor Cakes, but we are working behind the scenes to make more Cake varieties and sizes available to you. If you’d like to be one of the first to know, sign up to receive the latest news at Delicia del Sur.

Can I place a delivery order on a specific/special date? (e.g. birthday)

If we have stock availability and time to organise, yes this can be the achieved, most of the time. However we require 7-14 business days for special delivery orders. Keep in mind we have other jobs, so time management is very important to us. Please be sure to pre-order ATLEAST 7 days prior to delivery date request.
